Nihon Falcom is best known for being the developers of the Ys, The Legend of Heroes, and Trails video gaming franchises. And the Nintendo Switch era has made them very busy. In fact, the company published their financial report for the fiscal year ending September 2021, where a couple of those franchises got some attention.

According to Nihon Falcom, they will be developing Switch games internally, starting in 2022 with The Legend of Nayuta: Boundless Trails. Not only that, but they have confirmed that the latest entry in the Trails series will be released in Japan in the fiscal year ending September 2022. Meanwhile, the Ys series will celebrate its 35th anniversary. Only “a budget price version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox for PlayStation 4″ has been specifically mentioned to be a part of the celebrations so far, but they did confirm that there are additional projects planned.
