Twitter user PlayStation Game Size, who extracts data from PlayStation Network servers, has found a new entry for FromSoftware’s Elden Ring in the back end. The title, which will launch on February 25, 2022, is expected to be around 45 GB without a day-one patch applied.

With pre-load starting on February 23rd, you’ll have ample time to download Elden Ring in time for launch (unless your internet speed sucks, in which case you should probably buy the disc).

Author George R. R. Martin, who crafted the world of Elden Ring, recently penned a blog stating that the game looks “incredible.” On the PlayStation 5, it’ll support up to to 3840 x 2160p, 60 frames-per-second, HDR, and ray tracing via a patch. We’re not sure if this will be a day-one patch or a post-release patch, but will make sure to update our readers when we find out.

Elden Ring will send players on a quest to become the Elden Lord after the titular ring gets destroyed and the ‘Lands Between’ loses the ring’s grace. Players must restore the ring, the shards of which are in possession of demigods, empowering them in all the wrong ways for all the wrong reasons.

If you want to read a fancy version of this story, here’s an official synopsis:

Marika’s offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will.

And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.

And become the Elden Lord.
