Pokémon Legends: Arceus Has Already Sold Over 6.5 Million Copies Worldwide

Well, we’ve got some more incredibly exciting news to share about Pokémon Legends: Arceus, which arrived last week on the Nintendo Switch.

In that short time frame, we’ve already heard how the game is estimated to have sold around 1.43 million in three days within Japan, and now Nintendo has shared some worldwide stats. It reveals the game has already sold 6.5 million copies in a single week. Here’s the official announcement:

So, how does this compare to previous entries on Switch? The November release Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Pokémon Shining Pearl have already sold close to 14 million copies, and in just under two months of Sword and Shield‘s release, these games shifted 16 million. In terms of lifetime sales – Sword and Shield are now the fifth highest-selling Switch title with close to 24 million sales.
