Reddit user _PortPort_ has unearthed an unused, “hidden” character model in Horizon Zero Dawn on PC that turns Aloy into an anthropomorphic duck. We say “hidden,” but it looks like the cheeky developer behind the model actually wanted it to be found one day.

Using a cheat menu on PC, _PortPort_ was able to get to an area that’s out of bounds but near the place where Rost named Aloy. The creepy character stands there wearing a sign that states, “This is a legacy character. Please replace me.” The back of the sign states, “Questions? Contact [email protected]

Horizon Zero Dawn PC Cheat is required to access the area

It looks like you’ll need the PC version of Horizon Zero Dawn to go visit “Duckman.” _PortPort_ used a specific cheat menu provided by Nexus Mods to get to it. “This place is out of the bounds of the map, in those dark spots that if you try to get near, it will teleport you back to your last save,” the Redditor wrote. “I had to turn on the option to allow explorations out of the bounds, because I had it off and I kept reverting to my save without understanding why.”

We know what you’re wondering so to answer your question, no, that email address does not work. We didn’t expect it to either considering it’s evidently made up.

Both Horizon Zero Dawn and God of War proved to be a sales success on PC. The former’s launch sales were on par with The Witcher 3’s and the latter is still dominating top charts. Horizon Forbidden West will release on February 18th for the PS5 and PS4. A PC version has not been announced yet.

In other news, Sony AI and Polyphony Digital are teasing a “breakthrough” collaboration, and Take-Two CEO thinks NFTs are cool.
