Gravity Rush Director Keiichiro Toyama has said he would like Sony to port the franchise to PC so it could reach a new audience. Toyama, who was one of the founders of Bokeh Game Studio and is currently working on Slitterhead, said he would also like to team up with Sony if they ever decided to do another Gravity Rush game too.

Porting Gravity Rush to PC

Toyama told Gravity Rush Central, as spotted by ResetEra, that it would be “a good thing to open the game up to more users” by porting Gravity Rush to PC. This would also allow Gravity Rush 2 to run at 60fps. Whether Sony feels like it’s a good thing is another matter entirely. So far Sony has ported Horizon Zero Dawn, Days Gone, and God of War to PC with Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection coming later this year. All of these are bigger and arguably more popular titles. There’s also a whole list of others that fans would like to see ported over to PC that are likely to be further up Sony’s priority list (*cough* Bloodborne *cough*).

Despite garnering positive reviews and a dedicated fan base, Gravity Rush was never a big hit. The first title sold 200,000 copies on PlayStation Vita before being remastered for PS4. Sales numbers for the PS4 version of Gravity Rush or Gravity Rush 2 are not available, but it certainly wasn’t a million selling game. Still, Toyama said he “obviously would like” to work on a new Gravity Rush title, although it would be challenging at Bokeh Game Studio because “there are various things to bear in mind as a start-up”. The chances of a new title ever being greenlit are slim, though, especially as Japan Studio and Team Gravity have been dissolved.

In other news, players without a PlayStation Plus membership can make use of a free Online Multiplayer Weekend starting February 12 on PS5 and PS4. Elsewhere, Horizon Forbidden West will launch with a variety of options to make the game as accessible as possible.
