Xbox God of War Ripoff Lets You Play as Kratos

Xbox players can finally take on hordes of foes as Kratos (outside of Fortnite). But, unfortunately, it’s as part of a fake God of War ripoff, War Gods Zeus of Child.

Awful God of War copycat lets you play as Kratos on Xbox

The description of the War Gods Zeus of Child was almost certainly AI generated (I wouldn’t be surprised if the game were too):

“War Gods Zeus of Child is a great war game. Destroy all enemies and creatures with the Zeus War gods of challenge. Kill them all with your gun. Launch attacks with various combos. Reach the highest monster kills without dying. Feel the power of the warning god.”

The title screen shows the game’s name as “God of Warning,” and pressing “play” throws you right into the game. The only objective is to kill poorly animated troll creatures in a sandy arena. That’s it. (Bless Club Gaming and Tech on YouTube for playing this so we didn’t have to!)

War Gods Zeus of Child managed to make it into the Xbox Store as part of the Xbox Creators Collection. This section of the store contains games that aren’t certified by Microsoft, so buyers beware. Strangely, the store listing doesn’t go out of its way to notify viewers that it’s a Creators Collection game. It wouldn’t be hard to confuse it for a Microsoft-approved game (other than how horrendous it looks in the screenshots).

The creator of War Gods Zeus of Child is listed as Dolaka Ltd. The studio’s only other title is Dinasaur Falling Survival, which is a ripoff of Fall Guys featuring a character in a Yoshi costume.

Of course, Dolaka Ltd doesn’t have permission from the IP holders to use the likeness of Kratos or Yoshi. So, we’d expect these curiosities to be swept from the store soon. As such, you might be tempted to spend the $4.09 to snap them up, but we implore you to spend your cash on literally anything else. These aren’t “so bad it’s good” experiences; they’re just plain awful.

In other news, Kojima Productions isn’t making NFTs, and Bungie gives the reason behind its continued lawsuits against cheaters.
