The Ascent: Cyber Heist DLC Xbox

The Ascent gave gamers one of the best-looking cyberpunk games when it released in 2021. And I say that as someone who thoroughly enjoyed exploring Cyberpunk 2077 and the Final Fantasy VII Remake just before this came out, but that’s how good it looked. So, any opportunity to dive back into that world can only be a good thing. Just as well then that there is some DLC heading your way, today! The Cyber Heist DLC is out today for Xbox, PC and PlayStation.

Following on from the main story, Kira, your former employer, has one more job for you. Judging from the name of the DLC, you can probably guess what that job entails.

The Cyber Heist brings with it a lot of new features for The Ascent. A new arcology featuring new locations and environments. That does therefore mean that this new area will be host to some new enemies, but also some new characters to interact with.

Perhaps the biggest new addition in terms of combat is The Ascent is finally adding melee weapons for you to use. And not just any weapons, but ones with names such as the Rock Crusher and Guillotine. So, you know they really mean business.

Once again, Cyber Heist will be playable in solo or co-op. It can be accessed upon completion of the main story, but for those playing in a group, only the leader needs to have completed the main event for the whole group to access.

Key features include:

  • CONTINUE THE STORY – SOLO OR IN CO-OP: The Ascent: Cyber Heist can be accessed once you’ve completed the base game campaign. Bring your friends with you to take on this new challenging contract. Your squad hasn’t caught up with you yet? No problem, as long as you as the host has completed the main campaign, your squad can join up and help! (We know you’ll be carrying them anyway…)
  • NEW WEAPONS: Speaking of carrying, experiment with all-new weapons, including for the first time in The Ascent – Melee weapons! So now you can get up close and personal with the new Rock Crusher and Guillotine!
  • NEW WORLD LOCATIONS: Discover and explore a brand new arcology owned by the Malhorst-Gelb group with breathtaking new locations and environments.
  • NEW MAIN & SIDE MISSIONS: Continue the story of The Ascent by completing new challenging main and side missions. Encounter colorful new characters like Ontario and Zell along the way, and fight against new enemies.

The Cyber Heist DLC for The Ascent can be found on the Xbox Store now priced at £7.99/€9.99/$9.99. The base game is still available through Xbox Game Pass or can be purchased separately for £24.99. This new content drop also brings with it a new edition of The Ascent: The Cyber Edition includes the base game and all previous DLC packages – plus the new Cyber Heist – for £36.99.
