Forspoken PS5 download size has been revealed, and players are going to need to clear out quite a bit of space from their hard drives. According to trusty PSN backend scraper PlayStation Game Size, Forspoken weighs 87.275 GB and it looks like there will be a day-one patch because Sony’s server lists the game’s version as 1.000.001.
Forspoken PS5 pre-load information
Luckily, those who purchase Forspoken digitally won’t have to worry about the download size because the game can be pre-loaded starting Sunday, January 22nd. PS5 download speeds can be pretty wonky at times, but rest assured, two days will be more than enough to download 87 GB of data.
Forspoken will release on Tuesday, January 24th.

Forspoken has had quite an interesting road to launch. Despite boasting a high-profile dev team that includes Uncharted writer Amy Hennig, the game’s trailers and recently-released demo have been extremely polarizing. It doesn’t help that PS5’s third-party console exclusives have been quite lackluster, and Square Enix has yet to find much success when it comes to current-gen games beyond Final Fantasy.
Forspoken is a timed console exclusive and will also release on PC.
