Activision and Raven Software have provided a breakdown of the upcoming Call of Duty Plunder 2.0 mode arriving in Modern Warfare 2 Season 3. As part of Warzone 2.0, this Plunder update is a mode that was introduced during the original Warzone launch and challenges squads to collect cash as fast as they can. Plunder 2.0 will come upgraded with a new set of events and several Buy Station additions.

Multiple events in Plunder 2.0 can occur at the same time

Plunder 2.0 matches will come with six events, some of which can occur at the same time. While the developers want players to discover Cannon Fodder, Contractor, and Choke Hold events for themselves, they reveal several others in a handy quick guide.

This includes Blood Money where double cash can be earned for eliminating operators, Heat where destroying Blacksites and Strongholds gives out five times the typical reward, and Money Siphon where ATMs continually spit out cash for a limited time.

As for some of the new Buy Station additions, Plunder 2.0 will introduce the Credit Card with 10% cash back, Life Insurance which allows you to keep half your cash after a respawn, and Angel Investor that comes with a contract with enhanced payouts.

Playing Plunder 2.0 will come with nine unique rewards at launch, like calling cards and a vehicle camo, for completing various challenges.

Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 will also send players on a trophy hunt as part of the main seasonal game mode. Call of Duty was also the top-selling PS5 and PS4 game for the last 10 years.
