Publisher Spike Chunsoft and developer Too Kyo Games have unveiled the downloadable content (DLC) schedule for their lucid-noir detective adventure game, Master Detective Archives: RAIN CODE. The DLC will include four substories featuring Master Detectives, with the first one titled “Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat.” Players will have the option to purchase each DLC individually for $4.99 or opt for the Season Pass, priced at $15.99, which provides access to all four DLCs. Furthermore, the Season Pass is also included in the Digital Deluxe Edition, priced at $89.99.

The first substory, “Ch. Desuhiko: Charisma Killed the Cat,” is set to release on July 27, 2023. In this particular DLC, players will assume the role of Desuhiko Thunderbolt, a detective known for his Forensic Forte of Disguise. Desuhiko Thunderbolt is a young man with a lively personality who often flirts with women under the pretense of investigation. His ultimate ambition is to achieve fame as a superstar detective skilled in solving mysteries. To aid in his disguises, Desuhiko carries a massive backpack filled with various tools.

Desuhiko’s Forensic Forte of Disguise allows him to alter not only his appearance, but also his voice, height, and weight, enabling him to match the visual and psychological profiles of his targets. Alongside the DLC announcement, Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games shared the release dates for the remaining three DLCs: one in August 2023, another in September 2023, and the final one in October 2023.

In addition, a version 1.30 update patch will be available at launch, with improvements such as minor text fixes, adjustments to voice and sound effects, as well as tweaks to maps, characters, graphics, events, and text overlaps. The patch also includes various bug fixes and enhances the functionality required for the downloadable content.
