How will you cope in the world of F1 Manager 2023?

If you frequently jump into a My Team Career on F1 23 and find yourself engrossed within the minute details of the race weekend, then you may be very much interested in the F1 Manager series. Whilst we love, love love the latest instalment in Codies’ racing series, we are equally addicted to the management simulation that came in F1 Manager 2022. It just so happens that F1 Manager 2023 is now available to build on that. And it allows us to live out our dreams of overseeing the best of the best.

Horner, Wolff or Steiner?

It plays very much like the Football Manager series. That means the F1 analogue from Frontier Developments allows you to take control of your favourite F1 team. You’ll be left to plan out race strategies across all 23 races and six Sprints on the 2023 World Championship calendar.

Whether you are slogging it out in the heat of Bahrain, or trying to navigate a tricky wet Silverstone GP, every single lap will provide you with a plethora of decisions to make. Do you instruct your driver to make an aggressive move on the next turn to get into the points? When is best to pit your drivers onto a new tyre, and allow them to make a surge up the grid?

There are no shortage of ways to carve out your own race.

Many Ways to Play

Not only will you focus on your drivers’ entire training schedule, all in preparation for a race weekend, the new Sporting Director mode allows you to scout within the F2 and F3 divisions for prospective talents. These gifted young drivers can be tapped up early doors, and given a multi-year contract if you wish for them to form your future driving line-up.

Furthermore, one of the most exciting features within F1 Manager 2023 is that of Scenarios. These hypotheticals form the wackier side of the game, throwing some crazy challenges your way. How will you fare if the heavens open in Bahrain, and the track becomes wet? What would happen if every car had equal machinery, and the only differentiating factor was the skill of your drivers? Scenarios hold the true challenge for the best F1 Manager players, albeit are currently mostly locked behind Deluxe Edition content.

Frontier Developments assure us that players with the Standard Edition of the game will be treated to Race Moments. These allow you to experience the thrill of a real-life race weekend, as soon as they play out in real life.

The features to enjoy

  • F1® Manager 2023 challenges you to manage the F1® team of your choice on your terms. Start your career as Team Principal at one of the 10 F1® teams and manage every aspect from the factory to the garage, to the starting grid
  • Experience broadcast-quality presentation as you take your team through practice, qualifying and a thrilling race day for each race of the season, and beyond
  • Detailed management systems give you control over your drivers, staff and car. Your decisions determine how your season unfolds
