Today was a major news day for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. Hands-on impressions, a Direct presentation, and interviews have all been going on today. However, just because the spotlight has been mainly on the new 2D Mario game, doesn’t mean other Nintendo franchises haven’t been forgotten.

For example, Eurogamer recently spoke to producer Takashi Tezuka and director Shiro Mouri about Super Mario Bros. Wonder. At the end of the interview, the subject changed to Pikmin. After a decade of waiting, Pikmin 4 released in July of this year. Tezuka, who was also the producer for Pikmin 4, was asked if they will be making sure that the wait for Pikmin 5 will not be as long. Tezuka responded by saying that “I think that would be best as well. We’ll try not to let everyone wait”.
