Deadlink – coming to Xbox and PlayStation

Fans of the most colourful, action-packed roguelikes would commonly cite the likes of Hades and Enter the Gungeon as among the best out there. But let us throw another name into the mix – Deadlink!

This is a PC-exclusive title that is now making its way over to the console world, as per an announcement made today at the indie-showcasing Guerilla Collective event. Read on for more deets!

Slated for a summer 2024 release (and read on for the specific date!) onto Xbox and PlayStation consoles, Deadlink comes to us from the folks at Gruby Entertainment, and has garnered significant positive feedback since its launch onto PC platforms in July 2023.

As is the case with all roguelikes, following each death in this cyberpunk FPS you will have the ability to invest in weapon upgrades, new unlocks and the like in order to make it a little bit further each time. Strictly speaking, Deadlink is positioned as an ‘FPS with roguelite elements’, insofar as each run has elements of randomness, but some items and loadouts do persist following each death.

Take but just a glance at the trailer we’ve linked below, and you’ll see that this one will test your reactions to the max – you’ll always be outnumbered by a multitude of different enemies, so dodging bullets and choosing when to return fire is key. And that’s true however you play – sniping, getting up close and personal with shotties, or inflicting status effects to damage many at once; it’s all up to you.

Releasing Soon!

So, when it comes to that all-important date of launch, it’ll be July 30th, 2024 that you’ll be penning into your calendars. It’s not long to wait until Xbox Series X|S and PS5 players will get their hands on one of 2023’s hottest shooters, and get in on the chaos!

We will of course provide you with any additional info regarding Deadlink between now and launch, and will have a full review for you later this summer. For now, check out the announcement trailer below, and find out more via the game’s Steam page.

Please note that Deadlink will not be available on Xbox One or PS4 consoles.
