It’s the third week of the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 38 and that means we move into Winter, with more Hidden Horizons to find and explore.

But what have we got here this time around? Well, it’s very much the same story as last week really, do some races, do some stunts, and earn all the profit! Well, that’s the theory, anyway…

As usual, there is a lot of stuff to go at, and I’ll do my best to explain what cars and tunes you need for this week’s challenges.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Little Iso

The 1957 BMW Isetta 300 Export is the car of the moment this week, and while they are tiny and cute, they are rubbish at racing! Should be an interesting set of challenges…

It turns out that BMW didn’t design the car, instead buying the design from the Italian company Iso Rivolta. Every day’s a school day!

Should you not have one already, go and buy it from the Autoshow – they will exchange it for 45,000 of your credits.

Chapter 1 – Bubble Buddy

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. For a giggle, try share code: 145448300.

Chapter 2 – Colour Wheel

Paint the car. Easy enough at the Autoshow! Mine is now a lovely Hot Wheels purple.

Chapter 3 – Unidentified Flying Car

Earn a total of three stars at Danger Signs. Don’t scratch that new paint!

Chapter 4 – Little Car, Little Drive

Simply drive 3 miles in your little car. Job done!

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 38.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, Eventlabs, a couple of PR Stunts, lots of races – that’s what you are getting with Series 38 Winter.

The Trial – T-Minus 6 Seconds

Two weeks on the bounce that a team has actually raced and not played dodgems – I don’t want to jinx it, but have we turned a corner within the Forza Horizon community?

This week the theme is Cars from America, with a tuning limit of A Class 800. I went with a Hoonigan Escort Cosworth “Cossie V2”, and the share code for mine is : 140648350. It looks to be off road as well, for a bit of spice.

Let’s hope the racing gods smile down on us this week, as we attempt to win an Ford Ranger Rally Raid.

Eventlab 1 – JOH CEE Presents Miniracers – Family Room

The class here is a Classic Rally, and the class is C Class 600. I used a Mini Cooper S, with share code : 176823547.

Massively inventive, this is a great course to drive around. But the corners are incredibly tight!

A Super Wheelspin is the prize. Again.

PR Stunt 1 -Speed Zone – Trebol

This week, all the PR stunts need the same car, an A Class 800 Ford. I chose a Shelby GT500 from 2012 and the share code is :402868577.

Average over 200 mph through the zone to come out on top. Do so and you’ll find a Super Wheelspin heading your way in return.

PR Stunt 2 – Drift Zone – Las Dunas

Get a bit sideways to score here. Using the same car, much handbrake action will get it to slide, honest. Score over 130,000  drift points to win.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

Seasonal Championship 1 – An Odd Sighting

The class is a weird one – Oddball Rally.

From the choices on offer at A Class 800, I chose a Mercedes #24 Tankpool racing truck (FE) with the share code : 117572081. Certainly fits the Oddball bit!

For winning, it is a Ford Escort we can take home.

Seasonal Championship 2 – Street Heroes

We need a Modern Supercar, tuned to S1 Class 900 for this event. I picked a Lambo Huracan from 2014 and the share code is 101467248.

For winning out, we can take home a Mustang. Again

Seasonal Championship 3 – All Wheels Down

I’m not sure that is what AWD stands for…

Still, for this championship it is all about the A class 800, AWD cars, and it is an offroad set of races. Well, my leftfield entry is actually a truck, the Mercedes #24 Tankpool racing truck (FE) share code : 117572081.

The prize for winning is a Ferrari.

Seasonal Championship 4 – Old vs New

Classic vs Modern Sports Cars is the category this time around, and the tuning ceiling is B Class 700. I chose a Subaru BRZ (2013) and the share code is : 139235813.

We can win a TVR Tuscan, so totally worthwhile.

Part 3: Other Challenges

A good mix of things to try this week, with a photo, a treasure hunt, some Hide and Seek, and a touch of smashing things to demand. Let’s see what we need to do!

Photo Challenge – #ONTHECASE

Take a photo of a statue this week, no car needed… Again!

We have to find and photograph the Detective Tank in the Aerodromo en La Selva. He’s tucked away, so check the photo and map to find him.

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece. The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A new car horn, Tiger Roar.

Treasure Hunt – 30K is the Name…

The clue reads “…and Evolution is in the name! Well spent is the time and money into making a car better”.

Glossing over the dreadful pun, we need to take an Evo, upgrade it to the tune of 30K credits, and there you go! I’ve made a tune for the Evo III, share name is Evo3 with my GT, Red620Ti if you want to do this easily.

If you’ve ever wondered what an Evo would go like with a 6.2 l V8 under the bonnet, with twin turbos strapped to it, this should answer that question!

The chest contains 100 FP, and the location is shown below.

Hide and Seek

As last week, it’s time to play the much hyped new game mode, Hide & Seek. No pointers here, mainly because it is super simple. It is a lot easier to be a Hider than a Seeker…

Take home a Super Wheelspin, to add to the collection.

Collectibles – In Plain Sight

Find and smash 20 Detective Tanks hidden in the maze at the Stadium. Pretty self explanatory, but see below for an image of what we are looking for.

We will get a new emote, Snap!, as a reward.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Forest Flume

The vehicles for the PR Stunts in the next two sections are the same – an B Class 700 Holden. I went with a Holden Torana A9X, and the share name is “A9X” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Average over 130 mph to win out. Piece of cake!

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Playtime

For this event, an Extreme Track Toy, tuned to S2 Class 998 is required, and as usual, a Bugatti Divo will do the job, share code : 169915677.

Completing the championship will get us a Honda Civic Type R. Bit of a step down from a Bugatti…

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Trap – Duna Escarpada

Same car rules. Same car!

Hit the trap at over 80 mph to win out. Being on sand, maintaining momentum is vital.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Reaping What you Sow

We need a Honda tuned to B Class 700 – so it is the Civic Type R from 2007 I chose, share code : 122431574.

The reward for racing? A Toyota FJ40.

The rewards for Series 38 and Winter in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 38 now seeing some Winter, you should be on the way to grabbing some new cars – and for Series 38 that means the Nissan Tsuru for 80 points and a Nissan Safari for 160 points.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 38 – and we are back to only two this week – Plaza Circuit and Lookout Circuit. The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 38 Winter also sees you given access to the exclusive Chaser GT TT’91 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get the Hot Wheels 2JetZ, a hard to find car.

So, with three weeks down in the Hidden Horizons Series 38, we are looking forward to the final installment as Spring will follow with relentless certainty. Stay tuned next week for the next thrilling installment, along with some news about the next Series…

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
