It’s time for the Hot Season in Mexico, and that means in Forza Horizon 5 the last week of the current Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge Series draws in. Finally, we are going to be done with the 90’s this week.

But what do we have to do to complete the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges in place for Series 39 Spring? Well, it is the usual kind of affair this week, and as always I’ll be here with the cars and tunes you need.

Let’s get Series 39 finished, shall we?

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Is that a Supra?!

The subject of this new week’s challenge is a Supra, believe it or not, the classic Mk IV from 1998. I do like a Supra, it has to be said. One day I’ll get around to recreating the one from Fast and Furious as a vinyl. One day!

Should you not have one already, go and buy it from the Autoshow – they will exchange it for 38,000 of your credits. Thrifty!

Chapter 1 – Go Beyond

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. For a little more spice, try share name “Street Supra” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Chapter 2 – Two Jay Zed

Drive five miles in your Supra. Shouldn’t take long with that tune!

Chapter 3 – Stay Tuned for Upgrades

We now have to win a Street Race in either A or S1 Class. Use the tune above to make it simples.

Chapter 4 – Drift Off

Score 6 stars at drift zones. The one at the Festival site is pretty short and simple. Handbrake!

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 39.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

The Trial, Eventlabs, a few PR Stunts, some races. Same old same old? Well, I can’t argue if that’s what you think…

The Trial – Retro Rewind

This week the theme is 1990’s Retro Sports cars, and only tuned to B Class 700, I went with an Nissan Skyline GT-R from 1997, and the share code is : 224199956.

We smashed it last week, so let’s hope that the trend continues, as we attempt to win a CLK GTR FE.

Eventlab 1 – PETROLHEAD55823 Presents Storm Drain

Modern Muscle cars tuned to A Class 800 is the theme here, and I chose a Mustang, as always, the Shelby GT500 from 2013.Share code is : 402868577

A nicely laid out and well designed track, all we needed was a robot in a truck chasing us and it would be T2!

A Super Wheelspin is the prize. Again.

Eventlab 2 – TYPEHARDFARK Presents Mesa Circuit

We need a B Class 700 Classic & Retro Rally car for this event, and so I went with an Escort #5 RS1800 Mk II, and the share code is : 793610371.

A nice little course with a good mix of dirt and tarmac. I enjoyed this one.

We can win a Buick Regal GNX for coming out on top.

PR Stunt 1 – Speed Trap – Avenida

This week, all the PR stunts need the same car, a A Class 800 American car from the 90s. It’s going to be a Hoonigan Cossie V2, and the share code is : 140648350.

Speed past the trap at over 145 mph to win.

If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed Zone – Carretera

Same car again, I fancy. We need to average over 120 mph for this challenge.

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Trailblazer – Quebrada

For this event, we need to finish the off road track with over 28 seconds on the clock. Same car works great.

Not another Super Wheelspin?

Seasonal Championship 1 – 90’s Icons – Toyota MR2

Toyota and C Class 600 are the criteria for this championship, and so I chose a Celica, the ST205 version, and the share code is : 861264673.

For winning out, we can take home a Toyota MR2, surprisingly!

Seasonal Championship 2 – On the Lookout

We need a Retro Supercar tuned to S1 Class 900, and so I went with a Bugatti EB110, and the share code is : 150254595. I do like these silly cars, for some reason.

For winning, it is a Supra ‘98 we can slot into the garage.

Part 3: Other Challenges

Things have seemed to calm down a bit this week, but at least the treasure hunt is back alongside the Photo Challenge, Hide and Seek and Tour.

Photo Challenge – #LITTLERUNABOUT

This week we are back to taking pictures of cars, with the Toyota MR2 being the subject.

Win the 90’s Icon Seasonal Championship to get your hot little hands on one for free.

Enjoy my artistic effort up at the top of this piece.

The reward? A new Forzalink phrase, “Pop-Up”.

Treasure Hunt – Danger in Diablo

The clue this week reads “To claim the treasure is your quest, 2 stars the target at Ridge Crest. But wait…a car! Let’s go pick one, a 90’s icon that really shone. This one is perfect so give it a go, a Lamborghini called Diablo!”

Basically, earn two stars at the Ridge Crest Danger Sign in a Lambo Diablo. The distance for two stars is 198.1 m, and hitting the ramp at over 110 mph will see you do it easily.

The chest contains 90,000 credits, and the location is shown below.

Hide and Seek

As has been the case for the last few weeks, it’s time to play the much hyped new game mode, Hide & Seek.

No pointers here, mainly because it is super simple. It is a lot easier to be a Hider than a Seeker…

Take home a Super Wheelspin, to add to the collection.

Horizon Tour – Co-op Racing

Go and take part in a Horizon Tour to win – three races against driverbots, and two head to head races for the human players. All jolly good fun, but I can’t give you a tune for this, as it could be any class.

We can win a massive 8 points towards the prizes for our trouble.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Treetops

The vehicles for the PR Stunts in both the Hot Wheels events and Rally Adventure events need to be the same – a B Class 700 French car from the 90s.

I chose a Peugeot 205 Rallye as my steed, and the share name is “205RB” with my GT, Red620Ti.

Average over 130mph to win out. Approaching from the east makes it pretty simple.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Pretending I’m a Supervan

We need an AWD car from the 90s, tuned to B Class 700.

Luckily, most of my tunes are AWD, so I went with an Nissan Skyline GT-R from 1997, and the share code is : 224199956.

The reward for racing? A Ford Supervan!

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Canyon

Again, a B Class 700 French car from the 90s has to come to the fore, and so it’s that Rallye again.

We need to jump over  200 m, and approaching from the north is easier.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin.  Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – A Bugs Life

We need an Unlimited Buggy, tuned to A Class 800 for this event, and so I went with an Aerial Nomad. Share code for mine is : 144860625.

Completing the championship will get us a Lotus Elise.

The rewards for Series 39 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 39 at its conclusion, we should have enough for the reward cars – the Mercedes Benz 500E for 80 points and a GMC Typhoon for 160 points. No exclusive cars this time, sadly. Last chance to grab these cars this week, so crack on with the challenges.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 39 – Chihuahua Circuit and Emerald Circuit.  The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 39 Spring also sees you given access to the exclusive Subaru SVX  for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!

New Series next week to look forward to, and it will be Series 40. What will we have to do? Wait and see! Although the name, Horizon Track Day should give us a bit of a hint, no?

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5.  It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
