1997’s classic visual novel ToHeart is being remade for Nintendo Switch and PC, according to a press release from Aquaplus.

It is scheduled for a Spring 2025 release in Japan, with a physical version in the works.

ToHeart, which spawned several adaptations and sequels since its initial release, was a pioneer of the visual novel genre. With a slice-of-life story and ten romance options to choose from, it set the stage for what would come after.

The press release notes that the remake will feature 3D character art and voicework from Kana Ichinose (Ichigo from Darling in the Franxx, Suletta Mercury from Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury, Hisui from the Tsukihime remake), in addition to an opening theme from Japanese singer YURiKA.
