We’re back with Series 43 Autumn of the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges on Game Pass, Xbox and PC, with another look at the cars and tunes you’ll be needing in order to complete the events on offer.

The second week of the final season I’ll be writing about, prior to planned repetition of previous Series (where does the time go?) has dawned, and it is stormy over in Mexico (no, not that one!). So, come with me as we attempt to give you the cars, tips and tunes you’ll need to maximise your points. Let’s go!

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Super Sedan

The subject of the Weekly Car Challenge is the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Sedan, at the time the most powerful car that Cadillac had ever made. Still pretty poky nowadays, to be fair!

Should you not have one in your garage, they are on sale at the Autoshow, priced at 80,000 Credits. Not too pricey this week.

Chapter 1 – Top Spec

Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. I have an S1 Class tune available, share name “CTS-V” with my GT, Red620Ti.

It is certainly a bit quicker! 975 BHP quicker, in fact… However, don’t install this until step 3 to make the most of it!

Chapter 2 -Flat Out

As this car has the same engine as a Corvette, drive above 170 mph for 10 seconds! To the highway!

Chapter 3 – More Power

Spend 30,000 on upgrades to make the car quicker and into S1 Class – Simples with the tune above.

Chapter 4 – Burning Rubber

Now win a drag race in S1 Class. Typical, I made the car handle and now we have to drive in a straight line!

Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 43.

Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts

With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.

Series 43 Autumn has a reduced list of things from last week, but there should be enough to keep us out of mischief.

The Trial – Hard Charger

We need to use a Dodge Modern Muscle car here, tuned to A Class 800, and so I chose a Charger SRT Hellcat, share code : 182901078.

Normal service has resumed, with half the time last week spent battling the driverbots, and the other half my “teammates”.

Anyways, crack on here and attempt to win a Ford Mustang S5.

Eventlab 1 – TEEWUZ Presents Chemical Plant

Hot Hatch and C Class 600 are the restrictions here, so I went for a stock Civic Type R from 2007 as it is at the tuning limit.

An exceedingly tight track with altogether too many sticky out walls, this is a challenge to drive. Not bad, but not great.

The prize is a Ford Falcon.

PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Basejump

This week, both PR Stunts need a Cadillac CTS-V from 2016, tuned to a heady S1 Class 900. Look out for the tyre smoke!

Look for share name “CTS-V” with my GT, Red620Ti.

We need to jump over 450 metres for this first one. I hit the ramp at 160 mph to clear it.

If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.

PR Stunt 2 – Speed zone – Costa Rocosa

Same car but some average speed driving to do now, 80 mph to complete this challenge. Not too tricky. Although the dirt surface makes it exciting…

Another Super Wheelspin awaits.

PR Stunt 3 – Drift Zone – East Coast

Obviously, setting a car up to be good at grip usually makes it poor at drifting, but this one managed it with sufficient handbrake usage.

Score over 100,000 drift points to win.

Another Super Wheelspin. This is getting to be more of a punishment than a prize now…

Seasonal Championship 1 – Holden Out

Guess what car we need here? Yes, it’s a Holden, tuned to C Class 600, and so I chose a Sandman HQ Panel Van as a bit of a giggle.

Share name is “HVAN” with my GT, Red620Ti. No points left for tyres, so handle with care!

For winning out, we can take home a HSV Gen-F GTS.

Seasonal Championship 2 – All American Heroes

Pickups and 4X4’s to a max of B Class 700 for this set of races, and so I went with a Chevy Colorado ZR2. The share code is : 153915151.

For winning, it is a Ford Ute from 2014 that we can take home.

Part 3: Other Challenges

The Treasure Hunt, a Photo Challenge, Horizon Tour…

Photo Challenge – #PLAYATANK

Photograph any Retro muscle car with the Neon Tank in Playa Azul. Much like last week, it’s obviously easier to find at night!

See the top of the piece for my artistic effort.

The location you need to be in is below.

The reward? A Raul Urias Relaxed Fit Tee.

Horizon Tour – Co-Op Championships

Time to play nicely with others.

Do some co-op races, any class so no tunes, and have a bit of fun.what could be better?

If you manage it, a whole 8 points towards the weekly totals will be yours. 8!

Treasure Hunt – Driving by Numbers

The clue reads “At the festival of Street, some containers you’ll find, doing a figure of 8 may help you unwind….”

The picture shows the Hoonigan Hoonicorn mid drift, and so I guess we just need to do a figure of 8 around some containers at the Street Scene Festival site. Shouldn’t be too hard, right?

I had to do a couple of figure 8’s till it registered, but the containers are right in the middle of the Outpost.

The treasure chest contains 300 FP, and the location is shown below.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events

If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.

Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Waters Edge

We need an S1 Class 900 drift car for this, so the stock Formula Drift MKIV Supra is the ideal tool.

Slide about until you score over 120,000 drift points. Running downhill from the north seems easier.

A Super Wheelspin is your reward.

Seasonal Championship – Up in the Clouds

Pickups and 4X4’s to a max of B Class 700 for this set of races, and so I went with a Chevy Colorado ZR2. The share code is : 153915151.

The reward for racing? A Dodge Viper.

Part 5: Rally Adventure Events

The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…

Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger sign – La Cantera

S1 Class Modern Muscle cars are needed, and this time I chose a Shelby GT500 and the share code is: 335181307. This is the 2020 model for the avoidance of doubt.

Jump over 300 m to win. Hitting the ramp at 130 mph cleared this easily.

The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.

Seasonal Championship – Apex Muscle

This week, the challenge is to take an A Class 800 Modern Muscle car and win some races. I went with my go to, the Shelby GT500 from 2013, and the share code is : 402868577.

Completing the championship will get us a Dodge Charger

The rewards for Series 43 and Autumn in Forza Horizon 5

With Series 43 at Autumn, new reward cars are available – It’s the Pontiac Trans Am ‘73 for 80 points and an AMC Javelin for 160 points that are up for grabs. The first should be in your hot little hands this week.

Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 43 – only two this time around though. There is the Granjas de Tapalpa  and the Sierra Verde Sprint. The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.

Grab enough points and Series 43 Autumn also sees you given access to the Ford Mustang SVT Cobra R ‘95, a new to the game car,  for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!

Next week we’ll be back with the Winter challenges found in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge, so stay tuned.

To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile, and soon on PlayStation 5. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.

Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
