Those of you who haven’t tried Assassin’s Creed Valhalla yet but want to do so can make use of the game’s first ever free weekend on PS4 beginning tomorrow. Players will have access to the entire game throughout the free trial period and may want to start pre-loading from the PlayStation Store right now if they want to make use of the full amount of time.
When does the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla free weekend start?
The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla free weekend begins at 4AM EST tomorrow, February 24, and will end at 2PM EST on February 28. The game is available to preload from the PlayStation Store right now as a free trial on PS4 although the free trial doesn’t appear to be available for PS5. Any progress made during the weekend will be transferred to the full version of the game on any platform thanks to the cross-platform progression system that is linked to a player’s Ubisoft account. While the entire base game is available through the free trial period as well as the free content updates, neither of the DLC expansions – Wrath of the Druids or The Siege of Paris – will be included.
Those wanting to purchase the game on PS4 and PS5 will be able to make use of discounts on certain editions of the game throughout the weekend and for a short period afterwards. The standard edition of the game is discounted by 60% to $23.99, while the Ultimate Edition is also reduced by 60% to $47.99. There are also two bundles with other Ubisoft games available. The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Immortals: Fenyx Rising bundle is reduced by 67% to $36.29, as is the Valhalla and Watch Dogs: Legion bundle.
In other news, the Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout Season 6 mid-season update has introduced cross-platform play for PS4 and PC players. Elsewhere, rumors of Resident Evil: CODE Veronica, Outbreak and Outbreak 2 remasters have started after Capcom updated the Resident Evil Portal with upgraded artwork.
