Earlier today, rumors started spreading that God of War Ragnarok would be getting a release date reveal and more news tomorrow, June 30, but it seems like whatever was planned has been delayed. While it was assumed the news would come through a PlayStation Blog post rather than a State of Play show, this isn’t even expected to appear now and Santa Monica Studio Creative Director Cory Barlog has pleaded with players to have patience instead.

When will we get God of War Ragnarok news?

The rumors of a reveal tomorrow came from renowned insiders and leakers, although neither Santa Monica Studio nor Sony had said anything. Later on today, though, it was becoming clear that these rumors weren’t going to be coming true. When a fan commented on Cory Barlog’s Twitter that a reveal was coming tomorrow, he simply replied “no.” He also released a statement saying that “things will be shared at the earliest possible moment they can be” and to “please, be patient.” He also denied the game’s release date had been delayed.

Jason Schreier, who was one of the insiders behind the initial rumors, claimed he hadn’t heard the announcement had been delayed but clarified the game is still supposed to be released in November. Meanwhile, fellow leaker The Snitch confirmed to Kotaku that whatever announcement was planned for tomorrow had now been pushed back after it was delayed by Sony. Neither Schreier nor The Snitch would confirm their sources, although Schreier thinks there’s very little chance their sources are the same.

In other news, a leaked photo has given hints to the length of the PSVR 2 cable as well as the contents of the headset bundle. Elsewhere, QA studio Quantic Labs denies all allegations of mismanagement and that they’re not to blame for Cyberpunk 2077’s issues.
