Following a leak a couple of days ago, Insomniac Games and PlayStation have now confirmed the Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launch window for Fall 2023. The confirmation of the release date window follows a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it personal website edit from writer Jamie Mayer that suggested players would have to wait a while to get their hands on the game.

A while to wait before Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is released

Few other details were revealed about the game today aside from the Fall 2023 release window. While this will surely upset some players who were hoping to see the game earlier in the year, Insomniac is still “making good progress” on Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and there has not been a delay so far.

With very little heard about the game since its announcement over a year ago, fans are wishing for more news about the game to be released soon. An all-too-brief appearance from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on the PlayStation Store and numerous teasers from various cast members had implied there would be more information imminently, but it seems like that may have just been today’s launch window. Apparently, the announcement had been “planned for a few weeks” despite the leak that occurred on Mayer’s website a couple of days ago.
