Earlier today, EA announced that Mirror’s Edge would be delisted and its servers closed at the end of next month, but this is no longer the case. In a tweeted correction, all mention of the game has since been removed from the original blog and DICE has revealed that it’s inclusion “was an error.

Will Mirror’s Edge be delisted in April?

DICE clarified that they “currently have no plans to remove Mirror’s Edge from digital storefronts.” As such, it is just Battlefield 1943, Bad Company, and Bad Company 2 that will be delisted and removed from the PlayStation Store on April 28.

The announcement of the server closure for Mirror’s Edge seemed a bit strange bearing in mind the game’s servers had already been closed on January 19, 2023. While there was never any multiplayer functionality, this did mean the online leaderboards are no longer functional and players cannot download Ghosts of other players any more. The game’s campaign can still be played in its entirety offline, though, while the time trials will continue to challenge players and make them tear their hair out even if the scores cannot be uploaded to the online leaderboards.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem like we’re going to get a new Mirror’s Edge game anytime soon as DICE continues to pour their efforts into Battlefield. At least you can still grab hold of the older games if you haven’t already.
