Sniper Elite 5 has gotten a release date for PS4 and PS5 in May. Rebellion also confirmed the game will be getting a Season Pass, which will be available separately or as part of the Deluxe Edition. As you can imagine, there’s a variety of pre-order bonuses too.

When will Sniper Elite 5 be released?

The Sniper Elite 5 release date is May 26, 2022. As well as PS4 and PS5, the game will arrive on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. To celebrate the announcement, the game got a new trailer showcasing some of the main characters and the trouble they get into. Karl Fairburne returns as an elite marksmen. While trying to make contact with the French Resistance along the coast of Brittany, he discovers a Nazi plot called Operation Kraken. With a new objective, he needs to gather intelligence and stop these plans in their tracks as only he can, but this will bring him to the attention of an Axis Obergruppenführer known as Abelard Möller, the mastermind of the Nazi Operation.

As seen in the trailer, there’s a variety of pre-order bonuses regardless of which version of the game you purchase. The most notable of these is the next chapter of the “Target Führer”, this time taking Fairburne to the Berghof where Hitler is hiding at a private retreat in the Bavarian Alps. There are plenty of collectibles but also plenty of guards to take down in “Wolf Mountain”. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will also get the P.1938 Suppressed Pistol based on a Special Forces experimental prototype.

The Deluxe Edition will come with the game’s Season Pass. This will include a two-part campaign that takes place on “extensive” maps. There will also be two weapon skin packs, two character packs and six weapon packs to give more options when taking on these extra missions. While not specifically mentioned, it’s assumed the Season Pass will also be available for individual purchase from the PlayStation Store.

In other news, the release date for Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection on PC may have been leaked through Steam’s API. Elsewhere, Horizon Forbidden West got another patch today, but players are still left unable to get 100% in the game.
