Fans have renewed demands for a new Uncharted game as Naughty Dog celeberates Uncharted 2: Among Thieves‘ 15th anniversary. As the PlayStation community reminisced about the game’s iconic reveal and high-profile release, players also couldn’t help but point out how long it’s been since Naughty Dog released a new IP.

Uncharted fans don’t just want a new game, they want to move away from The Last of Us

Uncharted 2’s 15 birthday celebrations were sparked by tweets from Naughty Dog and Geoff Keighley, with the community joining in to share their memories of the game. Former Uncharted writer Amy Hennig also shared a few words.

We expected to see fans demanding a new game in the replies, but things took a different turn when players started pointing out that Naughty Dog hasn’t released a new IP in over a decade. The conversation then turned towards the The Last of Us and its multiple remasters.

While I’m sure Naughty Dog is cooking behind the scenes, one can’t help but notice that it has turned into “The Last of Us studio.” Even the last full-fledged Uncharted game was released eight years ago (not counting The Legacy of Thieves Collection). Since 2014, four out of eight titles Naughty Dog released were remasters.

Here’s hoping we see something new from the studio before the PS6 launches.
