Update [Thu 23rd Jun, 2022 00:55 BST]: Although Aspyr has plans for a patch update to address this game-breaking bug affecting a small number of KOTOR II players on Switch, it’s now shared a temporary workaround. Here’s an official statement along with the required steps if you are stuck:

“We’re aware of an issue that is preventing some STAR WARS™: Knights of the Old Republic™ II: The Sith Lords players from advancing in the game. Our data suggests that this is only affecting a small number of users but please rest assured that we’re working on a patch to fix it.”

Q: The game keeps crashing after the Basilisk cutscene, what can I do to resolve this?

A: If you’re encountering this crash, our suggested workaround is to warp past the point where the crash occurs using the cheat menu. Triple click the left thumbstick, open the cheats menu, select warp, and warp to OND504.

Original story [Tue 21st Jun, 2022 02:45 BST]: Aspyr’s latest Nintendo Switch release Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II apparently has a bug in it preventing players from completing the game.

In an exchange on social media, a player reveals how they experienced a game crash after the Basilisk Crash cutscene when landing on Onderon, and that there’s no way to complete the game in the current state.

Aspyr replied back noting how it was “aware” there’s no way to complete the game currently:

“Yes, we are aware and our dev team is working on delivering the patch as soon as possible. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience in the meantime!”

This issue will be addressed in the next patch, but currently, there’s no “ETA” on when exactly it will be rolled out to players on Nintendo Switch.
