Earlier this month, Bethesda kicked off QuakeCon 2023 with the announcement of a remaster of Quake II. There had been rumors of the remaster prior to the event, so it wasn’t exactly surprising. That said, you may be wondering how the game is running on various platforms, including the Nintendo Switch.

Well, once again, Digital Foundry is investigating this. They released a tech review for Quake 2 Remastered, and they tested the game on every platform. It is noted that the Switch version “drops to 720p often in docked mode, sometimes as low as 540p” and doesn’t use motion blur. Nevertheless, the game in general is praised for being well made.
