Epic Games Fortnite continues to prove to be an absolute juggernaut which an incredible large user base and they have had some fantastic collaborations with a range of major brands. However, Nintendo is one company which has yet to bring any of its beloved characters to the free-to-play game. That is not for lack of trying as Epic Games executive Saxs Persson revealed recently. Persson said that they have reached out to the Kyoto-based company about bringing their characters to Fortnite, but it has yet to happen. I suspect they will continue to try.
“I don’t know what the word for, like, making diamonds is. Nintendo has their strategy, and we have our strategy, and we hope at some point to use their characters. Our players would love it.”
