It has been rumoured for quite some time that Rare’s GoldenEye 007 is set to be released from the gaming vaults. Nintendo recently managed to get the game unbanned from Germany which was a random feat. Rare had been working on a revised edition of GoldenEye 007 for the Xbox 360 which was nearing completion (they also released a revised edition of Perfect Dark for Xbox 360) but it was then scrapped, presumably due to wider licensing issues. Today, the achievements for GoldenEye 007 for Xbox One have been uploaded to Xbox. The game has also appeared on long-standing Rare developer BigSheep’s profile and also the Head of Community’s profile for Rare. All in all it seems very likely that the legendary game will be released soon.The big question now is whether it will also come to the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
