Monster Hunter series sales top 100 million worldwide

Capcom has announced that it has shifted a gargantuan 100 million copies of the Monster Hunter series thus far as the beloved Japanese franchise celebrates its 20th Anniversary. Monster Hunter World and its Iceborn expansion remain the most successful games in the series selling over one million units each year in the seven years since its release. Sales of Monster Hunter World now total over 25 million units worldwide. Monster Hunter Rise and its Sunbreak Expansion have also performed well, selling over 2 million units annually since each was released. Sales of Monster Hunter Rise are over 15 million units and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak has exceeded 8 million units. The next game in the series is Monster Hunter Wilds which is due out next year.
