SEGA of America employees win union election

A few months ago, it was confirmed that employees for SEGA of America were interested in unionizing. They were briefly met with a little resistance from SEGA‘s higher ups around a month ago, but it seems that this resistance has evaporated and the unionizing plans were allowed to continue for employees of the house of Sonic the Hedgehog‘s North American subsidiary.

Well, another major step towards the unionizing process has happened today. It has been announced that, by a vote of 91 to 26, SEGA of America’s employees have voted to unionize. The union will be called the Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega, or AEGIS for short.You can see AEGIS’s tweet about the matter down below.
