The press blitz for the Sonic 2 movie is in full swing, and that means plenty of interviews with the cast – including James Marsden and Ben Schwartz, the latter of whom provides Sonic’s voice in this and its forerunner.

As you might imagine for a movie based on a video game, the topic of video games cropped up in a recent interview, and the pair gave some encouraging answers when asked which titles they loved the most.

Schwartz lists JRPGs like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy III (technically Final Fantasy VI) as two of his personal faves, while Marsden says he spent “around 2% of his life” playing GoldenEye 007. He also lists Mario Kart, Sonic and Contra as titles he recalls playing in his younger years.
