Even if Banjo-Kazooie is now Microsoft-owned, the bear and bird duo will always have a special place in the hearts of Nintendo gamers around the world. And although Rare re-released an improved version of the original title during the Xbox 360 generation, many fans are still left wondering what a proper remaster of the original Nintendo 64 outing might look like.

With this in mind, we turn our attention to Project Dream. We’ve previously highlighted this YouTube channel’s work and now it’s back with “Banjo-Kazooie: The Complete Remaster”. While it’s not actually a functioning game, it should still give you enough of an idea about what could be.

The same trailer also includes new shots and music for Mad Monster Mansion, as well as visual enhancements to Spiral Mountain and Rusty Bucket Bay based on some feedback about the previous videos.

If this has got you in the mood for some Banjo-Kazooie, Nintendo recently made the original N64 hit available via its Switch Online Expansion Pack service.
