Runnyk is on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch

We’re well used to dropping into the world of the Viking across some great games. Today we do it once more, as the mini metroidvania Runnyk releases on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.

The latest from Ratalaika Games

Runnyk is the latest to come from the Ratalaika Games team, as it drops onto Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. Also present on PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, this comes to market as a mini metroidvania experience, one which will thrust you into a Viking world.

It’s priced at £4.99 which places it right in line with the plethora of other indie games that release on a daily basis. And it’s that price which may well make it an appealing take, particularly suited to those looking for Valhalla.

Placing you in the shoes of the titular protagonist, in Runnyk you’ll be left to work your way through a 2D world, one that comes with plenty of action and a host of RPG elements. And as any good Viking will know, it may all lead to a self-sacrifice as you look to hunt down a number of magical runes.
