7 Days to Die – AGAIN!

Cast your mind back to 2013 (yes, we know, it’s a difficult exercise), and you may remember a pretty popular zombie survival game by the name of 7 Days to Die. Released in a time where everyone and their dog was developing a game of similar ilk, 7 Days to Die later released onto console in 2016. And now – would you believe it – 7 Days to Die is releasing on current-gen consoles as Version 1.0! Confused? Read on and we’ll hopefully help you out.

Zombies are Back!

Now available on Xbox Series X|S and PS5, 7 Days to Die – Console Edition is a re-release of the original 7 Days to Die, a game in which our reviewer said required a lot more time in the oven, coming out pretty lacklustre:

With everything considered 7 Days to Die truly is one of the biggest let downs of 2016. Although there is every possibility improvements may well be made to bring this game up to scratch, it is really surprising that Telltale Publishing are happy to bring this game to console on a full release. Perhaps the highly popular and appreciated Xbox One Preview Program should have been home for a game that is in such an unfinished state.

Well, developers The Fun Pimps Entertainment obviously listened intently (we’ll take the credit, here) as now 7 Days to Die is back as a V1.0 title. An open-world survival zombie shooter, you’ll be required to roam a post-apocalyptic world, getting your hands on whatever precious resources you can scavenge, and building up your own tower-defenses to push back the ever-growing horde.

A first-person State of Decay, if you will. Oh, and it can be played with some online buddies, also!
