The King of Fighters XV DLC 2 Xbox

Crossovers in fighting games is no new thing: Soul Calibur has had the likes of Darth Vader, Yoda and Link pop up in previous iterations and Akuma from Street Fighter popped up in Tekken 7. So to have Fatal Fury characters announced for The King of Fighters XV shouldn’t cause any surprise, but the question is, who exactly is joining? Read on to find out.

Known as Team South Town, characters Geese Howard, Billy Kane and Ryuji Yamazaki will be crossing over to The King of Fighters XV. But for the unknowing, here is a bit of info about the new fighters.

Billy Kane is a speedy fighter who also comes equipped with a staff. Anyone that has played Soul Calibur and come a cropper under Kilik’s speed and staff attacks will do well to also steer clear of Billy.

Ryuji Yamazaki is a bit of a brute who fights a lot of the time with one hand in his pocket. Don’t let that fool you though, he still packs a hefty punch.

Finally, Geese Howard appears to be the self-appointed leader of Team South Town and is well versed in counter attacking.

These characters will be available to download on 17th May, but that isn’t the only thing happening that day in The King of Fighters XV. All current fighters on the roster will be rebalanced to strengthen their overall performance. Even if your favourite characters attacks do get nerfed, the benefits will be felt elsewhere.

New songs will also be added to the DJ Station as part of the update, this time from The King of Fighters Neowave. This will give players more options to pummel opponents to their favourite jams and best of all, new songs have been promised in future updates.

Team South Town will be available for The King of Fighters XV on 17th May. Those that already own Team Pass 1 – available on the Xbox Store priced at £24.99 – will already have access to the new fighters on the day. No details have been released on the price for the separate DLC, but expect it to be around £12.99 based on the previous DLC, Team Garou.

It should go without saying that this DLC requires the base game to enjoy. This is available on the Xbox Store priced at £49.99.
