The end of an era approaches in Forza Horizon 5, as the final week of new Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges are unveiled, that of Series 43 Spring.
Strange to think I’ve done this article 160 times now! Still all good things must come to an end, so let’s go out on a high and talk you through the cars and tunes you’ll need for Series 43 Spring, all before the new Playlist Vote comes to the fore, as older, previously released Festival Playlists become an option.

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Fox Body
The subject this week is the 1993 Ford SVT Cobra R, designed to be the pinnacle of the new SVT division at Ford. Sadly, it wasn’t exactly what you’d call a looker, was it?
Should you not have one in your garage, they are on sale at the Autoshow, priced at 28,000 Credits. Not too pricey this week.
Chapter 1 – Special Vehicle Team
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete.
Share name is “Fox” with my GT, Red620Ti – a B 700 tune to help you out.
Chapter 2 – Quarter Mile
This car has a 5.0 V8, giving a weedy 235 BHP. Let’s get two stars at speed traps to celebrate this asthmatic lump.
Chapter 3 – Seeing Red
When this car was new, you could only get it in Vibrant Red. Paint the body to make it yours!
I went with a lovely Hot Wheels green.
Chapter 4 – Race Ready
Now simply win a road race. Simples!
Horizon Oval is the quickest I think.
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 43.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.
Series 43 Spring has a whole list of things to have a crack out, so let’s go!
The Trial – Rough Ride
We need to use a Ford F-150 for this set of races, tuned to a mere B Class 700. I chose a F-150 XLT Lariat, mainly because it is old looking!
Look for share name “XLT” with my GT, Red620Ti.
Everything went smoothly this week for a change, so thanks to my teammates for once.
Anyways, crack on here and attempt to win a Chevy Camaro 69.
Eventlab 1 – EDELMAENN Presents Flow Ring
Track Toys and A Class 800 are the restrictions here, so I went for a BMW M3-GTR, and the share code for mine is : 198385025.
A nice flowing track that works well, this one was fun to drive.
The prize is a Ford Falcon.
Eventlab 2 – ARKRA1DERS Presents Ark Junction Spaghetti
For this track we need to use an S1 Class 900 Retro Supercar. I chose a Bugatti EB110, mainly cos I like the blue! Share code is : 150254595.
A confusing mess of a layout with no clear idea of where to go, and trucks parked on the racing line. A disappointing end to the run of Eventlabs.
We can win a Super wheelspin for our trouble. You know, those things that are in short supply?
PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Cascadas
This week, all the PR Stunts need that SVT Cobra R we used above, but detuned to C Class 600. Look for share name “FOX C” with my GT, Red620Ti.
We need to jump over 170 metres for this first one. I hit the ramp at 135 to do it easily.
If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.
PR Stunt 2 – Drift Zone – Giro Encorvado
Same car but some sliding to do, score over 20,000 drift points to win out.
Another Super Wheelspin awaits.
PR Stunt 3 – Trailblazer – Cascadas
Same car, and this time we need to reach the finish gate with 14 seconds or more remaining.
Take home yet another Super Wheelspin if you can find your way through. This is properly tough with such an underpowered car.
Seasonal Championship 1 – Pontiac Sprint
Can it still be called a “Sprint” when the tuning level is D Class 500? More of a gentle jog?
Anyway, Pontiac and D are the restrictions, so I chose a GTO from 1965, share name is “GTO” with my GT, Red620Ti.
For winning out, we can take home a Chevelle from 1970.
Seasonal Championship 2 – West Coast Ride
S1 Class Modern Muscle cars are needed, and this time I chose a Shelby GT500 and the share code is: 335181307. This is the 2020 model for the avoidance of doubt. You may see this car pop up later too!
For winning, it is a Cadillac CTS-V.
Part 3: Other Challenges
Take a photo, smash some stuff, hide in a bush: all in a night’s work in Mexico! Oh, and a bit of Horizon Arcade as well…
Photo Challenge – #SEBASTIANTANK
Photograph any Classic Muscle car with the Neon Tank in San Sebastian. Much like last week, it’s obviously easier to find at night!
See the top of the piece for my artistic effort.
The location you need to be in is below.
The reward? A Farid Rueda Lion Helmet.

Horizon Arcade – Mini Games
Complete round three of any Horizon Arcade event, be it Drift, Chaos, Air, Wreckage or Speed. No tunes from me as it depends on what you are doing, but have fun as we earn a whole 3 points towards the weekly totals.
The Eliminator – Battle Royale
Play some Eliminator, try not to get Eliminated, and have fun doing it. Survive into the top 30 by hook or by crook!
The reward is a new Forzalink phrase “I’ve got a bad feeling about this”…
Horizon Collectibles – Companion Cube
Smash 10 cubes at the Street Scene outpost. The location and an illustration of what you need to look for is below.
If you manage it, a Raptor Rawr car horn will be yours.

Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Supersonic Spiral
S1 Class Modern Muscle cars are needed, and this time I chose a Shelby GT500 and the share code is: 335181307. This is the 2020 model for the avoidance of doubt.
Average over 135 mph to win.
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – Heroes and Hazards
In a change to the formula from last week, now we need a SUV Hero tuned to A Class 800 to take part, so step forward the Bentley Bentayga. Share code for mine is : 118484657.
The reward for racing? A HSV Maloo.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Speed Zone – Crateres Secos
We need a Rally Monster car, tuned to S1 Class 900 for the next two events. Saves on all the faffing about I guess!
I chose the Hoonigan RS1800 Escort , share code is : 264985022.
Average the zone at over 65 mph to win, which seems slow, but it is tricky..
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.
Seasonal Championship – Meridian Rally
Same car as above!
Completing the championship will get us a Cadillac ATS-V
The rewards for Series 43 and Spring in Forza Horizon 5
With Series 43 at Spring, new reward cars are available – It’s the Pontiac Trans Am ‘73 for 80 points and an AMC Javelin for 160 points that are up for grabs. All yours by now, I reckon!
Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 43 – only two this time around though. There is the Granjas de Tapalpa and the Sierra Verde Sprint. The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.
Grab enough points and Series 43 Winter also sees you given access to the Pontiac GTO ‘69 for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!
Next week is the return of the High Performance series previously covered in Series 20. This is farewell then, dear reader, as now it is just going to be a rehash of content I’ve covered before. I’ve enjoyed doing this for the last 40 months, and hopefully I’ve helped a few people out along the way. Thanks to all who have got involved in the comments on the various articles.
For now, let me drop you some links to the Series 20 Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring pieces from before. They may help you going forward.
Roll on Forza Horizon 6!
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile, and soon on PlayStation 5. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments, one last time, if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
