We’re back with Series 43 Summer of the Forza Horizon 5 Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges on Game Pass, Xbox and PC, with another look at the finest cars and best tunes you’ll need in order to complete the events on offer.
We’ve had a good run with Forza Horizon 5 and these challenges, but like all good things, an end must come. And it looks like that will be the case once Series 43 Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring runs its course, with Playground Games changing tack going forward.
Reading the latest blog (read it here) it appears that come the end of Series 43 we will be voting on repeated Series that have already happened in Horizon Realms. Obviously this negates the need for me to write these articles any more, as I’ve already covered them! End of an era… Weird to think I’ve been doing this for 40 months of my life.
To offset the disappointment of losing new challenges comes the arrival of Forza Horizon 5 to PlayStation 5 this coming Spring.
But hey, let’s see if we can go out on a high with some cracking cars and tunes for Series 43, shall we?

Part 1: Weekly Car Challenge – Gran Turismo Omologato
The subject of the Weekly Car Challenge is the Pontiac GTO from 1965. Originally a performance pack for the Pontiac LeMans, it was released as a standalone model to widespread acclaim.
Should you not have one in your garage, they are on sale at the Autoshow, priced at 48,000 Credits. Not too pricey this week.
Chapter 1 – Le Mans
Get in your new car, take it for a spin. Step one complete. I have an A Class 800 tune, share code : 144860625. You might like it!
Chapter 2 -?
I completed this step accidentally while doing the speed trap – simply drive over 114mph for ten seconds. Easy peasy!
Chapter 3 – Rally Spec
Because it has uprated springs and dampers, and a Rally gauge cluster, we should be okay to win three stars at speed zones. I used the one at the Mexico Festival site.
Chapter 4 – Show Car
Now simply take a photo. Smile!
Complete these tasks and we will be five points closer to the seasonal prizes that are up for grabs with Forza Horizon 5’s Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges for Series 43.
Part 2: Weekly Challenges, Championships and PR Stunts
With the weekly challenge done and dusted, let’s dive into the rest of the mayhem on offer.
Series 43 Summer has lots on offer, so let’s get cracking.
The Trial – Dark Horses
This week, the challenge is to take an A Class 800 Ford Mustang and win some races. I went with my go to, the Shelby GT500 from 2013, and the share code is : 402868577.
Normal service has resumed, with half the time last week spent battling the driverbots, and the other half my “teammates”.
Anyways, crack on here and attempt to win a GT500.
Eventlab 1 – XRCOSWORTH01 Presents Rally of the Ancients Ruins
Modern Rally and Rally monsters to A Class 800 means that the Hoonigan Cossie V2 is up, share code for mine is : 140648350.
A very long and involved lap, but one that is a lot of fun to drive. Plenty of handbrake action makes me happy!
The prize is a Pontiac Trans Am, ideal to pretend to be the Bandit!
PR Stunt 1 – Danger Sign – Heights of Mulege
This week, both PR Stunts need a Pontiac GTO, tuned to a heady D Class 500. Might be quicker to walk!
Look for share name “GTO” with my GT, Red620Ti. 600 bhp and stock tyres, what could go wrong?
We need to jump over 160 metres for this first one. I hit the ramp at 91 mph to clear it. Watch out for an inconvenient house when you land!
If you do it, take a Super Wheelspin home.
PR Stunt 2 – Speed Trap – Gran Puente
Same car but hit the trap at over 140 mph to complete this challenge. Not too tricky.
The hardest part is to keep the thing going in a straight line!
Another Super Wheelspin awaits.
Seasonal Championship 1 – Caddy Power
We need a Cadillac, tuned to A Class 800 for this event, and so I chose a stock CTS-V Blackwing, as it is practically at the tuning limit. It’s a bit slidy, however!
For winning out, we can take home a Buick GSX. Not a Caddy…
Seasonal Championship 2 – Chevy Lifting
Pickups and 4X4’s to a max of C Class 600 for this set of races, and so I went with a Ford Raptor from 2011. The share code is : 139383916.
For winning, it is a Ford Raptor we can win. Coincidence?
Seasonal Championship 3 – Drag, you’re it!
The pun writers are earning their money this week!
Take a Classic Muscle car, tune it to A Class 800, and I chose a Dodge Challenger, and the share name is “Challenger” with the GT Red620Ti.
The prize? A Haunted House car horn, obviously.
Part 3: Other Challenges
The Treasure Hunt, a photo challenge, Hide & Seek, Playground Games – not enough hours in the day!
Photo Challenge – #TANKCAFE
Photograph any modern muscle car with the Neon Tank near Tulum. Obviously, easier to find at night!
See the top of the piece for my artistic effort.
The location you need to be in is below.
The reward? A Natural Leaf Desert Scarf. Perfect.

Horizon Hide and Seek
We have to play the no-longer-new Hide and Seek mode, completing one game to win the prize.
Take home a new Forzalink Phrase, “I’m a Games Master”! And look like Patrick Moore… (Joke for the older readers there!)
Treasure Hunt – Cleared for Landing
The clue reads “Where planes go to rest, under shelter you’ll be…creating smoke with your tyres for all to see!.”
The picture shows the Dodge Charger, and so I guess we just need to do a burnout in a hangar? It turns out it is just that simple!
The treasure chest contains 300 FP, and the location is shown below.

Playground Games – Mud Runners
Play some games they said, it’ll be fun they said!
Pickups and 4X4’s to a max of B Class 700 for this set of games, and so I went with a Chevy Colorado ZR2 .The share code is : 153915151.
If you manage it, a new Ford SD F-450 will be in your garage.
Part 4: Hot Wheels Events
If you have the Hot Wheels expansion and are an Elite Level player, then you get to enjoy a couple of extra events.
Seasonal PR Stunt – Danger Sign – Ice Crash
We need an S2 Class 998 American for this, so the stock Hennessey Venom F5 should be quick enough.
Jump over 550 metres to win. Hitting the ramp at 218mph saw me jump 650m…
A Super Wheelspin is your reward.
Seasonal Championship – Snakes and Stripes
The class this time is S2 Class 998 American cars, and so I went with the same car as above, the Venom F5.
The reward for racing? A Dodge Viper.
Part 5: Rally Adventure Events
The Rally Adventure expansion brings even more events to the roster and provided you are already a Horizon Badlands champion, you’ll get access to the following couple of events…
Seasonal PR Stunt – Drift Zone – Joya Marron
We need an S1 Class 900 car for this, and it has to be American. I chose a Hoonigan Escort RS1800, on dirt tyres, and the share code is : 264985022.
Slide about until you have accumulated over 120,000 drift points.
The prize is another Super Wheelspin. Sigh.
Seasonal Championship – Valle Rallye
S1 Class American cars again, and this time I chose a Shelby GT500 and the share code is : 335181307. This is the 2020 model for the avoidance of doubt.
Completing the championship will get us a Dodge Charger
The rewards for Series 43 and Summer in Forza Horizon 5
With Series 43 just kicking off, new reward cars are available – It’s the Pontiac Trans Am ‘73 for 80 points and an AMC Javelin for 160 points that are up for grabs. Start saving those points!
Even more Rivals circuits have now been added with Series 43 – only two this time around though. There is the Granjas de Tapalpa and the Sierra Verde Sprint The prize total stays the same though, 4 points for making sure you turn in a clean lap.
Grab enough points and Series 43 Summer also sees you given access to the Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, a new to the game car, for 20 points. Additionally, for 40 points we can get a Backstage Pass, and these can be swapped for hard to find cars in the game. Handy!
Next week we’ll be back with the Autumn challenges found in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenge, so stay tuned.
To enjoy these events in the Festival Playlist Weekly Challenges, you’ll need a copy of Forza Horizon 5. It’s available on Game Pass, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PC and on the cloud via mobile, and soon on PlayStation 5. The Xbox Store will sort you out with a download.
Let us know in the comments if I have helped, hindered or missed the mark with these tunes.
