You should probably beware the Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game. But if you are tempted in by the setup and premise, there’s some good news – advance access starts!

Available to purchase, download and play from May 28th is Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game. It’s on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC as IllFonic bring advance access of the game to the masses. 

3v7 – what could go wrong?

Playing out as a 3v7 asymmetric horror multiplayer experience, this one pits three Killer Klowns against seven Humans. But those Klowns aren’t the only killers and the Humans can turn the tide, swinging as the aggressor, the escape artist or the master tactician of hide-and-seek. 

Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game takes place in Crescent Cove, based on the iconic 1980’s film from MGM. It’s in here where you’ll discover five maps to play through as the original creators – Chiodo Bros – guide. If you’re a fan of the IP, you’ll also discover the opportunity to enjoy some cleverly hidden easter eggs. 

It includes Klown tricks and weaponry, Human customizations that hark back to the movie, and more, meaning this should well be a game that will bring a wild experience for film fans, as well as asymmetric and multiplayer gamers. And IllFonic are promiing to unveil its post-launch roadmap soon

Gameplay Features

  • Take on the role of the iconic Killer Klowns – Three players team up, utilizing the unworldly abilities of familiar faces like Spikey and Shorty, hunt Humans with wacky weapons, and control the alien invasion to harvest the population of Crescent Cove successfully.
  • Fight back as a team of seven brave citizens of Crescent Cove – Take on one of several roles and explore the city for valuable loot and weapons while avoiding the Klowns and their traps, which are as dangerous as they are silly.

You’ll find Killer Klowns From Outer Space: The Game on the usual digital stores for Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. 

To get advance access from May 28th, you’ll need to get involved in the pre-order scheme. From the Xbox Store come two choices – the Standard Edition of the game for £33.49, or the Deluxe Edition for £49.99. Pay up the extra and you will get some cool goodies thrown in…
