We would guess that at some point the EA and Maxis teams behind The Sims 4 will run out of ideas. That time isn’t now though as two new DLC packs build out the base game even more.

Available today for The Sims 4 players on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC to enjoy are the Greenhouse Haven Kit and Basement Treasures Kit.

These two pop up for purchase alongside a whole host of other The Sims 4 DLC packs and expansions, as the phenomenon continues to pound on forwards. With Earth Day fast approaching though, we’d suspect that these two options will go down very well indeed.

At least the Greenhouse Haven Kit should for it is that which will allow you the chance to get green fingers, creating your own unique little greenhouse for growing opportunities. Beautiful windows await, hanging flower baskets will come to the fore and a host of gardening objects and pots will be waiting for use. If you’re looking to relax in the garden as the weather continues to improve, the Greenhouse Haven Kit should be for you.

Key features:

  • A Room to Grow — This kit includes build items designed for creating the perfect greenhouse structure. Craft an ideal windowed haven for your Sims to indulge their green thumbs and live out their gardening fantasies.
  • Signs of Life – Even the most organized gardeners need tools. Pots, plant starters, gloves, and spray bottles will make your greenhouse look like a space your Sim loves to spend time in.

There’s more though and with The Sims 4 Basement Treasures Kit, you’ll get to recycle and upcycle your gear. It’s the classic hand-me-down basement room, as you get to challenge your Sims to deviate from the pristine and embrace the imperfect with grungy and aged decor. From Grandma’s old, worn furniture to thrifting finds, every piece has a story and potential for new life.

From stains to soils and everyday wear and tear, there is comfort in the flawed, passed down and lived in. Life is for living – and Sims can walk down memory lane with a milk crate of vinyl records, old trophies and family photos, worn trunks and more. Items like an older model TV (still functional but not in its prime) and dusty trinkets add to the grungy space, with these lived-in items creating a comfortable basement.

Key features:

  • Just a Little Dusty — Sometimes you have to sift through the basement to uncover a few gems. They might look a little scuffed up, but they still have plenty of use and a whole lot of character.
  • Precious Memories – Add a little history to your décor. Do these items have sentimental value to your Sims or are they simply what they’re making do with? Maybe that was their mom’s favorite recliner, or their grandparents’ old television. Create new memories from the old.

So, which Kit will you be picking up for your Sims to enjoy? Will it be time in the garden or are they going to be working through the dusty basement? Let us know in the comments. You should expect to pay £4.99 for each.

And remember, to enjoy these two new packs, you’ll need The Sims 4 base game in your library. We’ll point you to the free download from the Xbox Store for Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, but The Sims 4 is available on PlayStation and PC too.
