Venice 2089 has hoverboards!

Venice – one of the tourism capitals of the world. But ever wondered what it will be like in the future? In Venice 2089 on Xbox, you get to find out. And yes, they have hoverboards!

Take in a future Venice

Available to purchase and download right now is Venice 2089 on Xbox. It’s playable on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, fully optimised for those latter, newer, consoles. Coming from the Safe Place Studio team, pushed out to the world by Fantastico Studio (they recently behind A Painter’s Tale: Curon, 1950), Venice 2089 looks to be a little treat.

It focuses on the life and times of Nova. Nova’s is a teenager, bored with their surroundings, unaware of where to go next. But with a hoverboard in tow, Nova’s world opens up, navigating the canals and pathways of a future Venice. That future Venice isn’t always as it seems.

A diverse set of characters await to help fill Nova’s life, each of which will provide a variety of quests and mission goals. When you combine that with the rather lovely 2.5D visual style, a mood-setting soundtrack and tons of puzzles, you can see why we are excited to play this one.

Hoverboards are present in Venice 2089 on Xbox

It’s helped by the fact that a mere £5.79 is being asked for access. That feels great value for money – at least if we take the trailers and screens as read. We’ll find out for sure as we review Venice 2089 on Xbox.

Until that time, you can get involved for yourself. The Xbox Store will provide the access you need to Nova’s world, and that of Venice 2089.

Game Description

In Venice 2089, you’ll explore the city through the eyes of Nova, a bored teenager who has no clue about what to do in life and just wants to relax from the stress of their usual routine.

Use your hoverboard to navigate the streets of Venice in a unique 2.5D art style, perform tricks and create a dynamic soundtrack that’ll match your mood. Interact with the world using your drone, collect objects out of your reach, and solve some puzzles.

Meet a diverse cast of characters scattered throughout the city. Know their personalities, learn their points of view, and help them in different quests. Fill your houseboat with important objects, and remember the experiences you made.
