Failed Kickstarter project in the past, Guts ‘N Goals has now arrived on Xbox and PC. Ever wanted to mix football with baseball, being given the opportunity to smash your opponents round the face with a bat? You got it.
Available to purchase and download right now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, Guts ‘N Goals by CodeManu and PM Studios is a frantic, rather zany sports game in which you will be able to beat your friends at soccer. Quite literally. You see, this football game is nothing like the norm, as the players are fully equipped with their own big bats, and you’ll be able to use those to ensure you leave the field a victor.
It’s priced at just £12.49 from the Xbox Store and when you realise that this comes with single player, cooperative, multiplayer and local couch co-op play in hand, will fast realise that price is a seemingly worthy one.
But it’s the action on the field that will probably be the biggest draw – random mutators, unique abilities, no penalties and little in the way of rules, should well see you being able to play how you see fit. You can even change the balls to hockey pucks, or beach balls, whilst various stadia can switch things up even more. Wanna play on a skating rink? You can do just that.
More than 30 heroes and characters will be present too. Key features in all include:
- Different ways to play – Each stadium has a unique way to play a game of soccer. Score a goal with a beach ball on the beach, and hit a hockey puck at the skating rink.
- Keeping you on your toes – During each game, random mutators will change the way you play. Mutators can change everything from the ball you’re hitting to the entire game design in a matter of seconds.
- There are no penalty cards – Each of the over 30 heroes has a unique ability that can drastically change the tide of a match. You can use these abilities to temporarily KO your opponent, giving you an opportunity to score.
- Play your way – Guts ‘N Goals can be played singleplayer, co-op, multiplayer, and local couch co-op. Enjoy this hilarious take on Soccer however you like!
