PowerA Lumectra is here!

Back in 2021 we got hands-on with PowerA’s Spectra Infinity Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox. Frankly, we loved it. But now PowerA are moving forward with an enhanced version of the Spectra Infinity – and this time they are elevating their game and moving into the Lumectra Zone.

PowerA today announce their latest evolution of the Spectra Infinity controller for Xbox, revamped, slightly reworked and now powered by Lumectra. It comes alongside the Lumectra RGB LED Light Strip too.

The power of Lumectra

Sitting under the Advantage Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S with Lumectra name (a bit of a mouthful, but we’ll go with it), this controller is again officially licensed by Xbox. And it seems to take everything that was good about the controller we used a couple of years back. It’s just PowerA are upgrading it substantially as they go.

This upgraded controller is primed for gaming excellence. It comes boasting new features including some upgraded multi-zone RGB lighting and new impulse triggers. Oh, and it’s complete with a 10 foot long USB-C cable too. And yes, PowerA have righted wrongs and are ensuring this one runs USB-C instead of Micro-USB. In our eyes, that’s a great move.

The controller also comes with an additional lighting zone on before, and more colour combinations. There are three-way trigger locks in house, dual rumble motors and a couple of programmable buttons on the rear.

The Advantage Wired Controller with Lumectra is officially licensed for Xbox Series X|S. it also works on Xbox One and Windows 10/11. And that should mean it is seen as the perfect gaming companion for Xbox and PC gamers.

And there’s a lighting strip too

But further, the controller launch coincides with PowerA’s exciting foray into the ambient lighting category. It’s here where they enter the Lumectra Zone, an ecosystem of lighting accessories marked by the Lumectra RGB LED light strip, seamlessly controlled by the Advantage Wired Controller with Lumectra.

If you want to light up your gaming room, this looks to allow it.

Uniquely, the Advantage Wired Controller with Lumectra RGB commands it all. You see, it is found featuring a built-in IR transmitter for seamless control over any compatible light strip LEDs, harmonizing and customizing the gaming experience. These products mark PowerA’s inception of the Lumectra Zone, a new ecosystem of lighting accessories that allow gamers to customize and personalize their gaming space. Expect future PowerA gear to complement it.
