It’s time, time to head back to a land of destruction, chaos and rusting junk in Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 on Xbox and PlayStation.
We can’t for one minute pretend that we’ve been holding out for this day, but now that it is here, the opportunity to go deep diving into a world full of shipwrecks intrigues once more. On the back of navigating the decay of the original Ship Graveyard Simulator comes similar tendencies in Ship Graveyard Simulator 2.
Previously on PC, Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 is now also on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 as we get to work dismantling shipwrecks. This time around we’ve been promised enhanced gameplay, numerous new features and larger ship components. Oh, and thanks to the inclusion of the Warships DLC that lands with the console version, some of the most powerful warships are also present.
A shipping sequel
Created by Incubator and picked up by Ultimate Games, Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 has grabbed some rather positive reviews on Steam. Now on Xbox and PlayStation, we’re hoping for similar. With a beach full of diverse wrecks to take in, various new features come to the fore in the sequel; like a crane and a large container.
The gameplay mainly involves exploring wreck decks and dismantling selected fragments that are most valuable. In practice, you’ll be found cutting, destroying or welding individual elements. The raw materials and parts obtained can then be sold, and the funds gained can be used for better equipment.
The basic console version of Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 also includes the Warships DLC expansion, which introduces powerful warships. Here the player must also equip themselves with a Geiger counter, as the wrecks of some ships may contain radioactive materials. The joy.
