Shred the Streets and Save the Shrine in TANUKI: Pon’s Summer – coming to Game Pass

CRITICAL REFLEX and indie developer Denkiworks have unveiled a new gameplay trailer for TANUKI: Pon’s Summer during the ID@Xbox Showcase at IGN Fan Fest.

This charming adventure game, set in a picturesque Japanese village, is coming to Xbox Series X|S, PC, Game Pass, and Nintendo Switch in late 2025.

Pedal to the Metal, Furry Style

In TANUKI: Pon’s Summer, you take on the role of Pon, a part-time mailman and full-time BMX enthusiast. Explore a vibrant village, deliver packages, and perform sick tricks on your trusty bike as you work to restore the Great Tanuki Shrine before the end-of-summer Matsuri festival.

Dive in and you’ll get to embrace the laid-back atmosphere of a Japanese summer, participating in activities like baseball, sumo, taiko drumming, bug catching, karaoke, and fishing.

Along the way, you’ll encounter a cast of quirky townsfolk, building friendships and navigating relationships with a unique emoji-based dialogue system.
