Can you survive in Dead Man’s Diary on Xbox?

If you are prepared to jump back into the first-person survival genre – following encounters with the extra-terrestrial in Greyhill Incident, and countless scares in Resident Evil’s world – then do we have the game for you! Dead Man’s Diary on Xbox puts a post-apocalyptic twist on affairs, complete with some truly terrifying mutated monsters.

A Ruined World

Releasing today on Xbox Series X|S, just over a year on from it’s PC debut, TML-Studios’ Dead Man’s Diary sees you in the shoes of a lone apocalypse survivor. With little in the way of motivation other than to ensure you don’t succumb to radioactivity, you will venture through this eerie wasteland. And yes, you’ll have your Geiger counter in hand.

As a matter of priority, you will go about collecting (or hunting) any supplies you find to top up your hunger and thirst levels, as well as seeking out a rudimentary shelter for the night. Whether this be an abandoned Ferris Wheel – Chernobyl-style – or a sprawling, abandoned warehouse is entirely up to you.

Hostility Everywhere

The day may not be too long before you realise that perhaps you aren’t all alone, after all. Soon you will be perhaps wishing you were, as faceless monsters rear their ugly heads, and stalk you down every path and around every corner. Luckily, you are armed with a pistol and a very limited number of bullets. Additional weapons such as shotguns become available, should you be able to locate them. Upgrading your equipment through crafting will also soon become a necessity.

These alien-like creatures will soon become the bane of your existence throughout Dead Man’s Diary, and will surely serve as a reminder to you that you should never, ever drop your guard!

Game Description

You’re on your own in a world full of danger! You can drink only if you discover water, survive the night only if you have a safe place to sleep – eat only what you have found or hunted. Explore a destroyed world and experience a dark story.

Dead Man’s Diary is a unique blend of elements from several genres. The gameplay adopts typical survival game mechanics such as crafting items or exploring a hostile world along with the need to find places to sleep or food. And enriches it with a gripping story and realistic puzzles.
