Some five years after the launch of Void Bastards comes the sequel – Wild Bastards.
Available right now on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC through Steam, Wild Bastards is the gorgeous looking sequel to Void Bastards. That was a game that landed on Game Pass and Xbox way back in 2019, picking up some decent acclaim along the way. In fact, our review was extremely complimentary about Void Bastards, summed up with the following…
“Void Bastards is everything I want from an indie title. Excellent gameplay and level design, intelligent writing and lore-building, an innovative art style and an addictive gameplay loop to finish – the latter of which doesn’t get old quickly despite its rogue-like nature.”
The Bastards return
Big shoes to fill for Wild Bastards then, but after running an exclusive interview with the creative minds behind it, hopes are stupidly high for this one. There’s no doubt that what Blue Manchu and Maximum Entertainment have put together is superbly vibrant and good looking.
Dive in to Wild Bastards for £27.99 (Xbox Store price, other stores may change slightly) and you’ll find an interplanetary adventure. It’s here where you join a team of outlaws, partaking in showdowns, shooting and looting as you go. With each of the outlaws complete with their own skills, abilities, weaponry and specials, this is a gang you’ll want to harness.
The question is, can you help them traverse the galaxy, proving themselves as proper Wild Bastards?

Wild Bastard Description
From the veteran team behind Void Bastards and Card Hunter, Wild Bastards has you travel from planet to planet to recruit, manage and gun sling with a team of 13 outlaws, each of whom has their own weaponry, special power, and growth tree. On planets, you’ll wrangle loot and start showdowns that are then played out in intense, bite-sized shootouts. The Wild Bastards were the most deadly gang in the galaxy until a posse from the puritanical magnate Jebediah Chaste eliminated one outlaw after another. Faced with their own mortality, the two remaining members have teamed up with the Drifter, a mysterious sentient spacecraft, to find and resurrect the dead gang members as they flee to the mythical Homestead.
